Door Piece
In the lower room of the gallery I use the door to a storage room as a frame for an audiovisual sculpture. A tethered balloon is filled with air until it fills the whole space within the doorframe, fixing two transducers on both sides of the door. Behind the object and not visible, a yellow light source illuminates the air body, making it the only source of light in the room. My sound mix is adapted to this situation. The result is a yellow interior and exterior sound, audible and visible in a perceivably constant expansion.
