Sound Track Brussels
I invented this drawing device to be able to create acoustic lines. It works like a transmission device, which transforms touch into vibrations to make them audible. The sound of the piece of chalk pulling on the ground is accompanied by the contact of the metal scraper. Since the contact of the metal scraper is flexible and bendable during the drawing process, pitches are created in the motion sequence. The whelk is the resonator, the sound body and amplifier. A microphone at the opening of the housing records the drawing process.
The sound of the snail as a recording of the floor drawing.
